In the Spring of 2010, Stephanie Blackwood stepped into a leadership role, taking over The Ultimate Bridal Show from Jeff Blackwood, which was launched in 1990. She later established her own company, Blackwood & Associates, in 2012. Having worked with The Ultimate Bridal Show for over 15 years, Stephanie seamlessly combined fresh ideas with the event's established professionalism and elegance. In 2020, Blackwood Events Inc. celebrated 30 years of The Ultimate Bridal Show.

Blackwood Events was incorporated in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 2016. They continue to organize The Ultimate Bridal Show bi-annually, which stands as Newfoundland's longest-running wedding industry event. Being the province’s leading wedding industry event, this gathering brings together nearly 100 wedding exhibitors, wedding industry professionals, and the province's brides-to-be who are excited about planning their big day. With decades of experience in trade show production and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in trade show planning, development and implementation, Blackwood Events Inc. organizes The Ultimate Bridal Show twice every year.

Blackwood Events also provides venue launches and re-openings, outdoor night markets, health & wellness fairs, pop-up events, fashion shows, and continuously expands their event planning horizons, particularly in supporting local small businesses. Additionally, they offer outsourced event planning services to help organize third-party events and create unforgettable experiences for all those involved.
